Clancy, conversely, may be in suspended animation somewhere, a la John Wayne or Walt Disney. I haven't seen a book by Clancy with just HIS name on it since a non-fiction he did on a tank battalion about 8 years ago. Too bad; I enjoyed the Jack Ryan novels.
