The denizens of Satirica are transient; however, the site is “owned,” if that is the correct term, by Mycroft. Mycroft is a forty-something American male, educated and trained in one discipline who has made a career in another. His favorite authors include Sam Clemens and H. L. Mencken and he takes great pride in knocking over sacred statuary, poking fun at pomposity, and generally peeing on humankind’s shoes.
